Rotary Bored Cast-in-Situ Piles

Drilling deep pile boreholes in soil and rock using rotary rigs, followed by placement of reinforcement cages and tremie concreting.

Precision drilling into hard rock strata and weathered rock using chisels and core barrels to transfer high vertical structural loads.

Large Diameter Piling

Workflow

The Bored Piling Process

We execute piling using a systematic, quality-checked workflow to ensure absolute structural load-bearing reliability.

Survey & Point Fixing

Verification of exact pile coordinates using total station survey data and checking alignment offset before rig setting.

Drilling Bores

Rotary drilling to specific depths and bore diameters, using temporary casing or bentonite mud to keep bore walls stable.

Cage Lowering

Lifting and vertical installation of prefabricated cylindrical steel reinforcement cages inside the borehole using service cranes.

Concreting

Continuous concrete placement using tremie pipes. Slurry displacement is monitored until rich concrete surfaces are clear.

Pile Testing

Coordination of Pile Integrity Tests (PIT) and static load tests to verify pile structure density and load capacity.

Documentation

Logging pile log sheets detailing socket depth, concrete volume, slurry density, and borehole logs for structural handover.

Quality Checks

Quality Control Inspections

Every foundation pile is executed under close supervisor monitoring. Our quality procedures include:

  • Verticality Checks: Ensured during rig positioning and drilling (must be < 1% deviation).
  • Bore Depth & Socket Logging: Constant measuring of rock chips to confirm socket depths inside granite.
  • Slurry Density Control: Monitoring bentonite marsh funnel viscosity (between 30 to 40 seconds) to prevent bore collapses.
  • Slump Check: Concrete slump maintained at 150mm to 200mm for high flow properties through tremie pipes.
